Today, Dad shared with us Chris's condition and advice given by the doctors. Since Chris is unaware that his personal information might be blogged online without his permission, we won't reveal what the doctor(s) said (although, this blog won't come up in the search engines, it's possible that some random person in Malta, for example, might stumble upon it).
Rather than usurp her brother's Right to Privacy, this editor has decided to just emphasize that eating healthy is not impossible. Eating unhealthy is just easier -- or more accurately -- lazier. Unhealthy food is just more accessible: prepackaged food that only needs to be nuked, fastfood on the run, prepared food from the restaurants --- all these items start off bad because to make them food companies choose the most ecomonically feasible food items. These are usually meats, poultry, fruits and vegetables that start off with tons of pesticides. Then once the items are prepared (and often with chemicals for improving the taste, appearance), further chemicals are introduced to lengthen the shelf-life. These toxins build up and cause both long term and even short term damage. That's why the sooner a person changes their eating habits for more healthier, holistic and as much as possible -- organic options, the sooner they will feel better off.And who better to tell you then your own Dad? (I say this because our Dad tells us this, and because Chris is a dad, himself.)
In the coming months, I will begin to post more healthy options of quick-and-easy recipes for both lunch and dinner on my food blog: http://www.makingcentsoutofcooking.blogspot.com/.
